Wabi-Sabi is a Japanese term that celebrates the beauty of things imperfect and unconventional. It’s not just a design aesthetic, but a world view.
Started by Dan Higgins, Wabi Sabi Media Group doesn’t fit the traditional production company model – it’s a production hub for creative ideas and execution.
Wabi Sabi is both international and local, with feet on the ground in New Zealand and Australia & key partners in almost every corner of the world.
Over 15 years in the film and TV business, Daniel Higgins has led and worked at some of Australasia’s leading production and post houses.
His strong production and budgeting skills have seen him become an in-demand producer internationally, working extensively particularly in the Asian market, across China, Korea, Thailand, Japan and Malaysia.
Dan has a knack for attracting and managing some of the best directors in the business and has worked with large international clients including Heineken, Skype, Unilever, Vodafone, Samsung, Coke a Cola, Heinz, Air New Zealand and Universal Music.
He also channels his love of the craft into making films, with producer credits on an extensive list of Feature and Short Films, for which he’s won numerous Best Picture awards both locally & internationally.
Nadine Higgins (nee Chalmers-Ross) is an award-winning journalist, broadcaster, and news anchor, who first made her name as the fresh young face of television business news.
Her career since has spanned many of New Zealand’s top TV and radio shows, magazines, and newspapers. She’s currently a regular on Discovery’s night TV show ‘The Project’, and a financial commentator.
She’s also helping change lives as a financial adviser at enable.me – financial strategy & coaching.
