Fernando Hart is a Brazilian filmmaker based in Auckland, renowned for being technically skilled, visually experimental, and for having a deft touch with talent.

Such is his commitment to getting the best out of the people on his sets that, in a bid to better understand and direct his talent, Fernando stepped out from behind the camera to do a two-year theatre course. His nerves didn’t thank him, but actors and clients alike regularly do.

Fernando is happiest when working on projects that marry great visuals with powerful storytelling about life, people, and matters of the heart. 

His directing experience spans feature and short films, TVCs, music videos, and long-form television productions. His breadth of industry experience has been honed at agencies like True and Colenso BBDO, where he was Creative Group Head of Content. 

Fernando has shot campaigns for major brands including Air New Zealand, New World, Spark, Mainland and AJ Hackett.
