Swedish-Kiwi filmmaker Arvid Eriksson has an innate sensitivity for the craft of storytelling. His latest short film Acknowledgements won both the Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Award at Film Invasion LA 2021. He has made award-winning commercials, films, on-air campaigns in Sweden, UK and NZ for the last twenty years. His films have been funded and distributed by The British Film Council, The Swedish Film Institute and Canal Plus. 

With his hands-on approach to everything from shooting to post-production, he brings together strong visuals with quirky characters in a dry and rhythmic blend of his own. 

He is an agile director with creative integrity and attention to detail. He’s a fast and well-organised collaborator. He brings people together, solves problems and produces emotive films with craft and flair.

At the age of 22 he left Sweden to study film in London. After 12 years in London working as a promo producer, editor, and commercial director he landed in New Zealand. He quickly moved into advertising working with a range of clients and agencies. Commercial clients include Range Rover, TipTop, Genesis, Smirnoff, Vodafone, Microsoft, Air New Zealand, Xero, Tourism New Zealand, and many more.

He lives in Auckland, New Zealand with his family, currently recording a new album with his band in Sweden.
